In short
This website shows videos. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no database, no forms and no third-party tools — no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no embedded YouTube. Only one thing is measured, and only on my own server: how long the video feed is watched. Who did the watching is not recorded.
Measuring time spent in the feed
So that I know which videos hold someone's attention, the page measures how long the feed runs in total, how far it is scrolled and how many seconds pass on which video. These values go to my own server (/api/blick) and are stored there in a file. Nothing is passed to third parties.
No cookie is set and nothing is stored in your browser. The measurements carry a random number your browser generates when the page loads and forgets when it closes — it is written nowhere and cannot be matched to a second visit. IP address, browser identifier, screen size and referring page are neither transmitted nor stored for this measurement. The values are therefore anonymous: I can see that someone watched for four minutes, but not who, and not whether the same person was here yesterday.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR — my legitimate interest in learning which videos land. Because no cookie is set and nothing is stored on or read from your device, no consent is required (§ 25 TDDDG). If you would rather not be measured: “Do Not Track” does not help here, but any content blocker that stops requests to /api/blick is enough — the site works exactly the same afterwards.
Server logs (hosting)
When the website is accessed, the server processes technically necessary data (incl. IP address, timestamp, requested file) for delivery and security. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Hosting runs on our own server at IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, under a data-processing agreement.
Videos
The videos are files on the same server and are delivered directly from there. No YouTube, Vimeo or other video service is embedded; playing them transmits no data to third parties and stores nothing in your browser.
Language choice (strictly necessary cookie)
If you switch language, the server remembers your choice in a cookie called “NEXT_LOCALE”. It contains nothing but “de” or “en” — no identifier, no timestamp, nothing anyone could be recognised by. The cookie is strictly necessary for the function you asked for and therefore requires no consent (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG); the legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR. You can delete it in your browser at any time — the site then starts in German again.
Fonts & external content
Fonts are served locally from this server; nothing is loaded from Google Fonts or any other external server. The links to Instagram and Linktree are ordinary links — no external content is embedded, and no data flows there unless you click them. After clicking, the respective provider's privacy policy applies (Instagram: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.; Linktree: Linktree Pty Ltd, Australia).
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In practice there is a limit: apart from the server logs, all that is stored here is the anonymous feed measurement, and it carries no marker by which I could find your data (Art. 11 GDPR). Ask anyway — I will tell you exactly that, and what else I can do.
